You can read this novel from beginning to end, or from end to beginning.
To read it backward, start with Part Three, Chapters 30 to 33, then go to Part One, Chapters 1 to 19.
This novel is not about being reborn, transmigrating into a book, or transmigrating to another world.
It's a pure historical romance, and entirely fictional.
It's still a tragic romance, but only mildly angsty. If you don't like that sort of thing, feel free to skip it, my darlings.
We've read so many sweet romances, so why not try a tragic one for a change? ෆ( ˶'ᵕ'˶)ෆ
This novel is divided into several parts.
Part One: I'm the legitimate daughter. My birth mother fell ill and died when I was young, and my father raised his secondary wife, Liang Shutong, to the status of principal wife and doted on her alone. He barely paid any attention to his daughters, either. Once, when I was being bullied, Shen Huaijin happened to come along and help me. I fell in love with the elegant, handsome young man at first sight.
The Empress Dowager of Beiyi searched through batch after batch of girls from her own clan for a foster daughter, but none met her standards. Later, she met Xie Wanxi and chose her.
From then on, Xie Wanxi went from being an official's daughter to the exalted Grand Princess.
Later, the Empress Dowager fell ill and died. Before she passed, she arranged a marriage for me. Before that, I had asked Shen Huaijin if he loved me, and he said no.
So I married Chu Muci, the man the Empress Dowager had chosen for me.
I can't say much about Parts Two and Three here, since there's a word limit on the synopsis, so I'll leave the details for you, my darlings. ٩(๑^o^๑)۶
