Summer Prelude

Everyone, somehow this story turned bittersweet as I wrote it. I can't change the youthful, sweet-romance tags now. I humbly offer my knees and beg for your forgiveness!!

Xia Zhi & Chu Xu, Li Hu & Yi Huanhuan

Excerpt:

Xia Zhi's eyes shone. "Whether it works or not, I hope the goddess of fortune will smile on you."

Chu Xu smiled serenely, looking pleased. "Then let some of my good luck rub off on you. I'll pass it on to you."

"So soon? This is so sudden. I didn't bring anything."

Seeing how flustered he was, Yi Huanhuan teased him with a laugh. "I've never seen you this nervous."

Li Hu: "Obviously! I'm meeting your parents. What if I mess up and can't marry you someday?"

The stone slab was moved aside. The moment light fell into Chu Wen's eyes, that kind-hearted boy, half-shrouded in light, slipped from the steel bars and crashed solidly into Chu Wen's chest.

From that moment on, the world was without his dearest friend, Zhai Yan.
