From gratitude at our first meeting to the shock that followed, Zhao Qixia, Ma Hongyuan, Chen Jinshen, Tang Xinkai, Chen Hanyue, and Shang Jiayi became partners and companions as they spent time together. Their little stories began to unfold... In this joyful Class 17, a group of young artists with dreams in their hearts grew from childishness into maturity, amid affection and warmth, laughter and mischief, and the occasional unhappiness.
There was Teacher Zhang, responsible and strict, with a heart of gold beneath a sharp tongue.
There was Boss Ou, gentle and considerate.
There was the eloquent, wonderfully articulate Cai Da-da.
There was Xianxian, the fairy who shared little tips surrounded by love.
There was the beautiful and adorable Teacher Chen.
There was the gentle and approachable Teacher Shao.
Then, in our graduation year, came Director Zhang, known as Brother Dongsheng.
And there was Master He, older but still full of humor.
During a performance for the May Fourth Movement, the drumming prodigy Chen Jinshen met Zhou Weiling, the gentle and sweet little piano princess. The sparks between the music students made them teammates, and they became a cherished part of each other's lives. We went from strangers to familiar faces, from students who gave our teachers headaches to students who showed what we could do. This campus held so many of our stories. The fervor of that summer came to an end, and on June 7, 8, and 9, 2022, we wrapped filming. Perhaps the memories of youth will fade, but our friendship will remain unchanged.
Student days meant endless laps around the track and leaning on the corridor railings for as long as we could. Years later, I finally cast my joy, anticipation, delight, gloom, and disappointment toward the one who could be seen just by resting my head on the desk...
