The Western Han Kingdom of Nanyue

From the end of the Qin dynasty to the Western Han dynasty, a mysterious kingdom once existed in China's Lingnan region. It inherited the traditions of the Central Plains while possessing a distinctively southern character, yet the historical records mention it only briefly. The stone-chamber tomb excavated at Xianggang in Guangzhou filled a gap in Lingnan's history through archaeological discovery. Mai Yinghao, head of the team that excavated the tomb of the Nanyue King, and Wang Wenjian, a researcher of the tomb, faithfully record the excavation and describe its precious artifacts.
