I Use the I Ching to Talk About Love

The Book of Changes is a foundational work of Chinese civilization, hailed as the source of the Great Way. It encompasses the laws governing the workings of all things in the universe and reveals the mysteries of life's changes. Now, let us take the wisdom of the Book of Changes as our guide, explore the true meaning of love, and write a beautiful story of our own.

In the Book of Changes, the sixty-four hexagrams symbolize the many different forms of human life, and several are closely related to the course of love. For example, the Xian hexagram reveals love's beauty and harmony, while the Kun hexagram represents gentleness, consideration, and acceptance. By interpreting these hexagrams, we can learn how to make the right decisions at different stages of a relationship and make the path of love smoother.

The Book of Changes' theory of yin and yang also reveals the essence of love. Yin and yang complement and depend on each other, just like the feelings between men and women. In love, we should learn to maintain a balance between yin and yang, respect and support each other, so that love can flourish.
