A girl born in the countryside seems to have been inclined toward isolation from the moment she was born.
Her father is a brute, selfish and only interested in himself. He likes to play cards in town and often beats her mother.
The little girl’s mother is beautiful, once known as the prettiest flower in the county seat.
When her mother discovered she was pregnant, she wanted an abortion for a time. The little girl’s grandmother knelt and begged her to keep the child.
Perhaps she was simply born unwanted. The girl never fit in with the children around her, and insecurity ran deep in her bones.
But in the summer of 2016, when she got into the city’s top high school, something seemed to shift. She met him, and a ray of light fell into her long-darkened heart…
Little did she know that she would also bring warmth to his bleak life. (There’s a little angst in the middle, mostly involving the leads’ families, then it gets sweet ☺)
The heroine is aloof, sensitive, and weary of life. The hero is aloof too, with a bit of a tsundere streak. His inner monologue is rather funny, and he also likes to act cute with her.
A story of mutual healing: both leads come from troubled families, and they accompany each other and grow together.
There are many other characters in this novel, too. I want to give each of them a distinct personality, create more vivid and compelling characters, and show the many sides of life.
I dedicate this novel to all of you who have suffered because of your families, in the hope that it brings healing to your hearts.
Life lasts no more than thirty thousand days. Live earnestly and enjoy it. May you all find the happiness that is uniquely yours.
