There is no end to the stories of the past; they drift in like clouds. The ancients always left traces behind, recording their stories and telling those in the present that, hundreds or thousands of years ago, somewhere, someone did something. Someone followed the tiniest clues and pieced together the whole story, only to discover that she was the protagonist. She empathizes with the devoted women in stories and plays, and feels grateful that she has the chance to make amends for their regrets. Though she has lived two lifetimes, she is still just an ordinary person. (A past-life-and-present-life story.)
