Ye Luoli: Breaking the Curse of Fate

Question: What should you do if an evil god sets its sights on you? Answer: Just grin and bear it! For some time now, Wang Mo has been plagued by nightmares every night. Whenever she wakes, she is drenched in cold sweat, even though the version of her in the dreams doesn’t think they’re nightmares. Then, at midnight one day, Wang Mo is jolted awake by another nightmare and discovers a mysterious man has suddenly appeared in her room. He claims to be a god who rules over space and time, and says she is a poor lamb cursed by fate. “Will you offer up your soul in exchange for having your wish granted?” What respectable god asks for a human soul? Are you sure you’re not a demon? “There’s no such thing as a free lunch. Look at your mother, rising early and working late every day to support you. Look at your future self, stripped of your identity by fate.” She watches her future self fall for a terrifying fairy who could destroy humanity at any moment, and sees her future self so easily forgive the bullies who tormented and humiliated her. “Is that really me?” Six-year-old Wang Mo can see that the other person apologized, but it doesn’t feel like an apology to her, and this isn’t the outcome she wants. “Yes, that’s the choice you make when fate controls you.” A gentle smile curls the god’s lips. In a tender voice, he tempts the innocent girl before him: “Become my follower and offer me your soul. I will protect you forever.” “I…” What should she choose? Should she believe only what she sees before her, or pretend none of this ever happened? (No CP)
