A Journey to Love: Springtime for Yishi

❗Breaking up the canon couples] Song Yanyi’s promotion diary (not really), the number one noblewoman ↑ Commandery Princess Changning ↑ Princess Anyang

Never travels far from home? Never shows her face? Only knows how to write? At most, she’s a talented woman? None of that is true.

Her master is a general, her father is a Grand Commandant, her mother is a county princess, and her aunt is the Empress Dowager.

But if you think she was born just to enjoy life, wield power among the nobility of the capital, and find a good husband to form a family alliance, think again. Deep down, Song Yan has never been one to simply obey.

She wants peace throughout the land and to help the people.

Serving as a female official, she joins the imperial envoy mission to An Guo, travels abroad, fights on the battlefield, and holds her own in debates at the An Guo court. That is what Song Yanyi wants most.

Romance

A betrothal sealed by a letter from home: “After considering it for more than three years, I do think he’s quite suitable.”

Qian Zhao, the cold-faced but warm-hearted commander of the Imperial Guards

A perfect match, so they should get married: “Huh? Sister Song, isn’t that exactly what Brother Thirteen thinks?”

Yu Shisan, a former playboy who now believes true love comes first

They can’t talk without getting on each other’s nerves: “You have to do what I want you to do. Then I’ll tell you what you want to know.”

Li Tongguang, unreasonable, dark, and cold

One says nothing, one has to say everything, and one just wants her to open up to him.

Song Yanyi: I... can’t say a word without it being wrong.

Jin Meiniang: Yu Shisan is no good. Qian is a decent man, just a bit too quiet.

Ren Ruyi: Yu Shisan would be better suited to helping you raise your children someday.

The world beyond this household is dazzling. Sure enough, once you leave the door, the outside world gets pretty outrageous
