"The Classic of Shooting", also known as "The Classic of Teaching Shooting", is a military book in the category of "soldiers skills". The author, Wang Chu, was a native of Huaizhou [now Qinyang County, Henan Province] during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong. He was famous as Wen Xiangwei. He had participated in the rebellion of Princess Ping Taiping. He was appointed as the Minister of the Ministry of Household Affairs and was granted the title of Duke of Zhao. He was also the prime minister in his time. He was tabooed by Li Linfu and was falsely accused of committing suicide. "Tongdian·Bingdian" contains the "General Secrets" part of "The Classic of Shooting" and is called "The Classic of Teaching Archery". It was probably a textbook used to teach archery in the army at that time.

Great title, made my brain spin [smile]
The author Wang Ju is so amazing, he understands astronomy and can also fight! However, I kind of disliked the didactic tone in the book, which felt a bit stiff. But overall, this book is still very valuable, and it is worth reading for those who like archery or are interested in ancient military affairs.
