“I am Lin Chong, styled Daiyu, known as the Crimson Pearl God of War.
She seems like a wisp of cloud veiling the moon. She draws her sword, and corpses lie scattered in every direction.
Baoyu said, “I heard that an old friend had been carried off by a ghost, so I came looking for him. Before I knew it, I had lost my way.”
The man asked, “Who is this old friend?”
Baoyu replied, “Lin Chong, the Panther Head.”
After fighting on the battlefield, Lin Daiyu saw corpses strewn across the ground, with tiny drops of blood seeming to bloom like flowers. Unable to bear the sight, she covered them with earth. This came to be known as Daiyu Burying the Flowers.”
