Lost Talisman

Harvard University semiotics expert Robert Langdon was unexpectedly invited to give a lecture at the U. S. Capitol in Washington that evening. Within minutes of Langdon's arrival, things took a startling turn. A frightening thing appeared in the Capitol - a human hand with three fingers in the shape of a fist. The extended thumb and index finger pointed directly at the sky. Each finger had strange tattoos with special semiotic meanings. From the ring, Langdon recognized the hand of his most beloved mentor, Peter Solomon, a famous Freemason and philanthropist. He also recognized that the gesture, combined with the tattoo on his finger, was an ancient symbol of invitation, designed to introduce the invitee to a long-lost world of arcane wisdom. Langdon realizes that Peter Solomon has been brutally kidnapped. If he wants to rescue his mentor, he must accept this mysterious invitation.
