This book systematically and detailedly reflects the growth experience and revolutionary process of Wu Yuzhang, my country's outstanding proletarian revolutionist, educator, historian, and linguist, from his youth to the founding of New China. It vividly reflects Wu Yuzhang's glorious achievements in pursuing revolutionary truth and devoting himself to the revolutionary cause. The manuscript is divided into ten chapters, dividing Wu Yuzhang's life experience in the past seventy years into three parts: The first part is Chapters 1 to 3, which mainly cover Wu Yuzhang's youth and his gradual acceptance of progressive revolutionary ideas and the process of growing into a revolutionary. The second part is Chapters 4 to 6, which mainly focus on the process of Wu Yuzhang's transformation from a bourgeois revolutionary to a proletarian revolutionary. The third part is Chapters 7 to 10, mainly about Wu Yuzhang's experience in Yan'an and the Kuomintang-controlled areas (mainly Chongqing) after returning to China in 1938. The whole book expresses Wu Yuzhang's colorful first half of his life from multiple dimensions. It contains both serious historical materials and historical theories, as well as vivid descriptions. It is a flesh-and-blood, emotional and reasonable biography.
