Tokyo Debt Collector: Starting Out with an Elite Magical Girl

[It’s got that vibe] + [A fresh take on magical girls] + [Yakuza culture] + [Ensemble light novel] + [Loads of references for every kind of fan] + [A subversive power fantasy]

A time-stopping pocket watch, a hypnotic pendulum clock, the Eye of the Mind…

Shirogane Mitsushima beamed at the prize pool on his System’s roulette wheel. This prize pool was so Tokyo. With this stuff, wouldn’t debtors be a piece of cake?

Lend money to people with supernatural abilities and you can earn tokens to draw for divine artifacts.

So where could he find people with supernatural abilities?

As luck would have it, the first name on his debtors list was Hoshou Mikoto, a top trainee magical girl who used jewels as magical supplies. She looked like she had plenty of money!

While he was at it, he might as well get her to sign this power-of-attorney contract. He wanted her abilities, too.

He showed up to collect, sent her gambling-addict father off to work on a cruise ship bound for Hokkaido, and saddled her with a debt contract for more than five million.

The captain of Tokyo’s strongest magical girl team was a foreigner. A strange little beast, part cat and part hedgehog, perched high atop Tokyo Tower. A girl able to bring the world of a game into reality. An onmyoji heiress kicked out of her home for obsessing over gacha games. A former advance scout turned into a dog. Saintly sisters from the Shengyang Sect who declared, “I am Shengyang.” A ninja squad specializing in tactics against magical creatures…

Shirogane Mitsushima closed his notebook and rubbed his brow. He had a feeling Tokyo’s waters ran deep.

But deep waters were perfect for lending money.

What will happen when magic, immortal arts, and technology resound together?

[The author’s ambitions are sky-high, and may the royalties be sweet!]
