My name is Chen Qiba. When I was born, wisps of green smoke rose from my family's ancestral grave. The villagers all thought I was a heaven-blessed child, destined to become a high-ranking official and bring blessings to the region.
Who could have known that my birth would bring ruin to the Chen family? My adoptive parents were torn apart, and they met miserable ends.
Alone and helpless, I became a beggar. Fortunately, an old blind man took me in, and I managed to live to adulthood. I treated him like family and wanted to care for him until the end of his days.
Who could have known...
The old blind man saved me only so he could kill me. He wanted to use my life to gain a new lease on his own. By a twist of fate, wisps of green smoke rose from the ancestral grave once more. I became a disciple of the Lady of Sandao Mountain and a true spirit medium, destined to ward off evil and battle malevolent spirits.
