"Han Shi Wai Zhuan" is a book written by Han Ying in the early Western Han Dynasty. It is composed of more than 300 anecdotes, ethical norms, practical advice and other different contents. Generally, each item is corroborated with an appropriate sentence from the Book of Songs and an ancient event. It is an important material for studying the poetics of the Western Han Dynasty.
"Hanshi Waizhuan" is nominally attached to the "Book of Songs", but it uses materials from the writings of several philosophical schools and eclectically combines them.

I recently read "Han Shi Wai Zhuan", this book is very interesting! I especially like some of the stories in it, such as "The Dew". The girl is really upright. In the face of incomplete etiquette, she is determined not to marry. I admire this spirit of adhering to chastity. However, I also kind of hate the unscrupulous people in the book. Their behavior is really inappropriate. This book explains the principles through stories. It is very vivid and it also gave me a deeper understanding of the Book of Songs.
