Journey to the West: Have You Ever Seen Tang Sanzang Invincible from the Start?

I am Tang Sanzang. I’m not going to Spirit Mountain to fetch the scriptures. I just want to kick Tathagata’s ass.

“Wukong, do you have a dream?”

“Master, Old Sun dreams of pinning Tathagata under a mountain again and making dog’s-ear fungus grow on his face!”

“Nothing wrong with that. Consider it done!”

“Bajie, are you still a pig?”

“Master, if you say I am, then I am!”

“Then what are you waiting for? Go root up that fine cabbage at Gao Village!”

Sha, I’m not going to lie, how can you put up with this? Let your master help you get even!

“Disciples! Remember, beat the male demons to death! Leave the female demons to your master!”

And so, along the journey west, a huge crowd of demon kings who had joined up whenever they couldn’t win followed Tang Sanzang toward Spirit Mountain.

At Lion Camel Ridge, when the Golden-Winged Great Peng saw Tang Sanzang leading more demon kings than he had little demons under his command, he was completely stunned!
