If you read it as a quick time travel story, the small world is too long. If you read it as a love story, the male protagonist falls in love not long after the beginning. It feels like there is no transition. It's too fast. In the last chapter, I was still doubting and alienated and fell in love in the next chapter. The male and female protagonists are quite interesting.
