Mercenary X Seer: We Meet Again, My Dear Seer

(Identity V fanfiction) Eli Clark is the famous Seer of Lakeside Village. Forced to stay here since childhood, he can never leave. He thinks his whole life has already been planned out for him, so why not spend the few years he has left slacking off and enjoying it?

Until one afternoon, he dreams of a young mercenary. From then on, most of his dreams have something to do with that boy. He can’t help becoming curious about the boy, and even about the world beyond the village.

Naib Subedar’s mission fails, leaving him no choice but to go on the run. The rain is heavy that day, blurring his vision. He thinks he’s probably going to die here.

Instead, someone takes him in. When he opens his eyes, he sees that person smiling at him and gently asking if he’s had a nightmare.

The boy is incredibly beautiful, but he always wears an eyepatch covered in strange runes. Are all Seers like that? Naib doesn’t know.

He and the boy grow closer and closer, until he even develops feelings he shouldn’t have. But Naib knows he has to complete the mission he failed. When he returns, the god who belongs to him has already been cast into the abyss by those demons.

Three years pass quickly, and yet slowly.

That day, he receives a high-paying bounty mission. The target is his “fallen” Seer.

“I finally found you, my beloved.”
