Daylight Shines on Nianqiao

Have you ever felt that, every time you wake from a dream, you can't hold on to that vivid dream or grasp the reality that feels so real?

So many dreams get buried in the rush of getting up, but a few scenes, a few dreams, remain crystal clear and unforgettable.

Gu Nianqiao's most vivid dream was of a jade bridge. She first dreamed of it as a child, and it illuminated her childhood. Then, seated in the boat of time, she began to shine.

As she puts it, the dream feels real because that streak of daylight on the jade bridge keeps lighting up in her heart from time to time.

And so it became the bustling traffic of her restless youth, the perfect balance reflected in her clear eyes, and the words she cried out on the bridge: “Daylight shines upon Nianqiao.” It gave the dream a meaning in reality.

In truth, an ethereal dream or a romantic poem has no meaning in itself. But love does, and love gives meaning to everything.
