Apocalypse: The Long Road Home

After seeing the plot of the first chapter and seeing time travel, I had 90% thoughts of abandoning the book. Because I am tired of this kind of setting that is thrown out randomly just to avoid suspicion, too many subsequent works will not develop the plot around the time travel at all. This also means that the author himself is not willing to spend more time on the sense of reality of this book. It is just a filler article that keeps piling up routine plots. However, after reading it with the intention of at least reading the first chapter of the story, I found that I almost missed a good book due to the prejudice I had developed from reading too many other inferior works. First of all, the author definitely has a rigorous and thorough plot outline. The plot develops at a very comfortable pace, and the connection between different plot chapters is also very smooth, making people unable to help but finish it in one go. Secondly, although it is not a double protagonist, it is at least a main line and a secondary line. The dual-line narrative skills are very strong. You can substitute which line depends on which line, and people will not have the idea of skipping the chapter. The most exciting thing is the sense of reality. The author has conceived a complex and grand world view, but does not blindly throw out fanciful settings. Instead, it is very realistic and immersive step by step from the perspective of the protagonist, depicting various stories of a mature, complete and real modern society that suddenly faces a supernatural disaster. It's true that the author said it's not fun. There are almost no plots in this work that involve pretending to be a pig, eating a tiger, and being slapped in the face. The protagonist's golden finger doesn't have the ability to upgrade him to fight monsters and travel through the doomsday. But if you are a reader who really cares about the plot, you can see a lifelike world unfold in front of you bit by bit, follow the protagonist to slowly uncover the core mystery of the world, and recycle the foreshadowing laid out before, can there be a more enjoyable reading experience than this? The work cannot be flawless, and the plot development cannot be to everyone's liking, but give it a chance and don't miss a work that you may be very fascinated by.

On the Tomato platform, this is a good book. In fact, on any online writing platform, its quality is high enough. I have never liked to rate writing because it involves too much personal emotion. Just like there are a thousand Hamlets in the eyes of a thousand people, what one person thinks looks good may not necessarily look good to others. But halfway through reading it, the book reviews included in the book became increasingly impatient with the author and the protagonist. I would like to share my thoughts. For readers who like cool writing, the character creation in this book is too bad. The protagonist looks useless, without the wit to predict everything, and without the ability to turn on his powers at any time. He is as small as all humans, like you, like me, like anyone else. The protagonist is very mediocre, so mediocre that it feels like you can do it even if you come. In the online world view, there are too many stories in which the protagonists become gods, many of them are the same, and many of them are lackluster. In a society where gods are created, it seems that it has become intolerable for ordinary people to be the protagonists. But again, because the protagonist is an ordinary person, the highlight of this book is highlighted. The author's writing style is above average among novels of the same theme. There are no overlying lines, no vulgar plot, and no facial expressions of character creation. Every action and language of the character is realistic and fits the personality. "Why didn't he go?" "Why did he do this?" "Why did he have feelings?" This is so because it is about humans, not gods. The stereotype of the protagonist should not be that he has the halo of the protagonist, but that he is the protagonist if he survives first. We should not be harsh on a person. We shouldn't be harsh on anyone.

So far, the plot is tight and logical, and there is no problem. It is not a cool novel, and there is no excessive cheating. The protagonist has a strong sixth sense. It's a book worth reading, and I look forward to updating it soon. Big cheers for the author~

The setting is great, the dual plot is also very interesting, the character description is very delicate, the growth line is complete, and the plot arrangement is not particularly bloody. It is worth watching. The following are the shortcomings: 1. The protagonist's early growth is too slow. It can be seen from the comments that many readers cannot read the story of the protagonist's growth. 2. The male protagonist is just a passer-by and has almost no use for the story (the end of the world and salvation). He can be divided into three parts: wanting to go home, finding a girlfriend, and the third part is a bit inexplicable after finding a girlfriend. He knew very early on that the world was bound to be destroyed, and that it would be destroyed soon, but the actions he took were to take things as they came. 3. Putting the stories of the female lead and the male lead in two different novels does not affect the integrity of the story, because the interaction between the two is pitiful and unnecessary. 4. Shi Yan's turning point is very blunt, as many friends have said. 5. For apocalyptic articles, the generation, impact, and resolution of the apocalypse that readers expect. However, the perspective of the first protagonist can only see the second point, which creates a separation (the first protagonist has nothing to do with salvation, and there is a lot of foreshadowing, leading to the belief that the protagonist is the key to solving the apocalypse). I feel like it would be better if this was the perspective of the third protagonist. Of course, the author of this book seems to be unable to control this writing style. Or, as mentioned before, it would also be good to only write the apocalyptic survival story of the first male protagonist. Looking forward to the author's next work

This book is really a twist to the extreme. From the beginning, I always thought it was about traveling through a different world, but Meng Wei's message at the end really shocked me. The following dozens of chapters are really getting more and more exciting, and the plot is also progressive. Another one that I can't get over is Su Xuemeng. She was portrayed very well in just three short chapters. The final ending really shocked me and left me unable to calm down for a long time. I couldn't even believe it was the ending. And I also thought that the male protagonist was kind enough to save her. I wouldn't say anything, but her ending was really tragic. Especially when the trafficker told her about her miserable situation, I couldn't believe that it was something a human being could say. Of course, this incident also became a turning point in Li Jiqiu's growth. The author said that it was the first time he wrote it, but the author wrote it very, very well and the characters were very vivid.

So far, this is the best book in the Doomsday series. There are no fancy superpowers or weird systems. An ordinary person struggles to survive in the apocalypse and grows step by step. The two main lines are closely intertwined and interlocked. At the end, I realize that there is such a big hole in front of me. Once the hole is filled, everything makes sense. Some unreasonableness and entanglements turned out to be foreshadowing. After the two lines were merged, they all made sense. It was very reasonable. I read it in three days as a bookworm for fifteen years. It is a masterpiece. The only warning to the author is that you must remember that the pure love god of war almost buried you. Remember not to gasp next time, otherwise, 🔪 you may not be able to take it back after you go out.

——Spoiler warning It's a very good story. I won't go into too much, but I'll just say that I think it's the most interesting part – dual-line narratives are quite common, and I already thought so. But when I saw the end, I discovered that this line is a "timeline". This setting is really unique. I believe most readers have had questions when watching it: Why did Meng Fang never interact with the protagonist in the early stages? It stands to reason that the protagonist and Shi Yan have this special ability, and their names will definitely reach Meng Fang's ears. When I finally gave the answer, it really gave me the same goosebump-inducing shock I had when Luo Ji said the dark forest theory when I was watching The Three-Body Problem. All my questions were answered at this moment. There is no doubt that if you can read it, this is a very good story. I hope the author can continue to work hard and create more excellent works that make people think.

It's been a long time since I stayed up all night reading a book. After reading more than half of it, I can only say that it's a rare good book in Tomato. Despite all the flaws, I give it five stars! How awesome😋👍🏻 In fact, this novel has a lot of flaws, very, very, very many, but overall, I still think the flaws outweigh the good points. The male protagonist is cowardly, stupid, and unpleasant, but very real, with many small thoughts and ideas, as if he is a real person, a three-dimensional character. Sometimes he is kind, sometimes cruel, sometimes cowardly, and sometimes reckless, but there are traces to follow. Unlike other paper character protagonists in novels, who create a character just for the sake of a bullshit character. There are many controversial aspects in the plot, but I think the most unacceptable part is Su Xuemeng's death. Many people probably can't stand it and leave. The plot is inexplicable and the male protagonist is inconsistent, which makes people feel frustrated. The appearance and death of Su Xuemeng are extremely abrupt. I think the author created this character to imply the disappearance of the kindness and innocence in the male protagonist's heart. Although the male protagonist has killed people before, even in the plot of the previous chapter where he met Su Xuemeng, the male protagonist killed 66 people, the male protagonist has never changed. In the three years since the end of the world, he has always been him, and his motive for killing can be said to be self-protection. But after Su Xuemeng's death, the silly and innocent male protagonist will completely cease to exist. He no longer kills just to protect himself, he kills others out of anger and displeasure. He has been completely assimilated into this apocalypse, and he has truly become a person in the apocalypse.

Write a concise comment for future reference. After reading it for a while, I felt that some parts of this book were very strange and poisonous. It can be seen that the author should have written it for fun. After all, the whole book is for my own enjoyment. It is actually quite good. Some paragraphs in the book are well written, the characters have some problems, and some developments are a bit inexplicable, just to advance the plot. Overall, the book is worth reading. I won't spoil the content in detail. Those who are interested in the framework should read less book reviews and think more about the plot of the book from their own personal perspective, so that they can accept it. Writing a tag should be able to filter readers, growth-oriented male protagonist + pseudo-group portrait + anti-war + single female protagonist I'll comment after watching it later After reading it, the book is not as good as I thought. The reason why I gave it full marks is that the main characters are pretty good, and I can accept it except for some poisonous points. The heroine is also very cute. The most exciting parts of the book are mainly in the middle and late chapters, and the main character has the most scenes in the middle and late chapters. The ending of the final text is also very romantic. After reading it, you still have some staying power. If you turn to this review, I sincerely recommend you to read this book. There are no suitable books to read in the book shortage. Oh, by the way, don't believe the last sentence in the introduction, it's not without its laughs (sweat) I leave you with the main content I can think of in this book in the form of labels for your reference. (Apocalyptic + growth-oriented male protagonist + single female protagonist + pseudo-group portrait + science fiction)

Very high quality😭 Although the male protagonist is an ordinary person, his growth along the way is vivid in his mind. Especially this plain and beautiful tragic knot is really touching. As a pure love god of war, the author also added a sweet side story. I really love you to death, author😭
