June comes from a wealthy family and is used to living like a young lady. She is outgoing and cheerful. Wu Jing works diligently, comes from an ordinary background, and never lets up for even a day.
June is forthright and sincere, but reveals her feelings at the wrong time. Wu Jing is disciplined and proper, and has never recognized the feelings in her own heart. But they stay by each other’s side and support one another, their feelings sincere and deep, and make it through their hardest days.
Xie Zhixi, the son of an antiques dealer, is first a good friend to them. As time goes on, he becomes a study partner, then a lover, an enemy, and finally a stranger.
June and Wu Jing support each other until, in the end, they disappear from each other’s lives, lost in the vastness of the world.
