To Keep the Sect Afloat, Senior Sister Is Forced to Master Everything

A traditional xianxia story with a strong female lead and a touch of ensemble cast. There is a couple, but not much romance: [gentle, reliable big-sister type + straight-laced sword cultivator] Senior Sister × [spoiled, flamboyant young master + prodigious, scheming genius] Junior Brother. Slow-burn, female-led. The heroine travels and fights as a mortal swordswoman in the early chapters. The cultivation arc has begun, and you can jump straight to Chapter 49. The adventures begin in Chapter 8, and the secret realm opens in Chapter 12. Here’s the blurb: The good news: I caught the transmigration craze, and landed in a cultivation world where I might live as long as the heavens! The bad news: I’d worked so hard to land a secure job, only to lose it. My new identity is a penniless little girl on the brink of starvation. Ji Tonggui learned her lesson the hard way. She couldn’t have lost that secure job for nothing. Since she was here, she might as well make the most of it. But why had nobody told her sword cultivators were so poor? Once you enter the sword path, money becomes a thing of the past. Sword cultivators may be strong, but they’re dirt poor. Looking at her impoverished sect, with everything in disarray and a mountain of work ahead, Ji Tonggui gritted her teeth and threw herself into talismans, formations, alchemy, and medicine. She studied until she was gaunt and pale, spitting blood and crawling around in the dark. That’s right, sword cultivators are known to be poor throughout the cultivation world. But if I take up talismans, formations, alchemy, and medicine on the side, what can you do about it? Faced with her opponent’s confusion, Ji Tonggui said sympathetically, “The times have changed.” Then she casually slapped on a restraining talisman. Opponent: ??? Aren’t sword cultivators supposed to devote themselves to the pure sword path? You’re using talismans? You heretic! Ji Tonggui: How dare you presume to know who I am! Watch the sword in her hand: with a single thought, mountains and rivers are severed. The gears of fate begin to turn, while the senior sister, absorbed in nurturing her sect, has no idea that a pair of malicious eyes has been watching and biding its time for ages.
