I'd just showered and was getting ready to work overtime when I opened my computer and saw the notification.
"People these days, killing someone at the drop of a hat." I said as I made myself a cup of coffee.
Ding. Just as I sat down to work, another news alert popped up.
"The serial killer has struck again. Police have sealed off the scene immediately. Residents are advised to lock their doors and windows."
As if possessed, I clicked on the story, and an overwhelming terror washed over me.
