The Western Sheng Jing is a Taoist classic. Its full name is "The Western Sheng Jing of Laozi" and it is one of the five works of Laozi. "Taoist Teachings" says: "Yin Sheng received only five volumes including "Daode", "Miaozhen", and "Xisheng"." According to the Southern Song Dynasty Zhao Xibi's "Mr. Zhaode's Reading Notes", this sutra was compiled by Yin happy, the order of Hangu Pass, according to Laozi. This sutra was first recorded and later written down. It is an important classic of early Taoism and has a very close relationship with "Laozi". This book has a unique position and considerable influence in the history of Taoist thought.
