The Hungry Sea Roars

This book describes the final years of the Qing Dynasty, when foreign religious forces entered China. Ordinary people in Hebei Province lived under the crushing pressure of the government and Christian churches. The corrupt Qing government’s policies harmed the people and left suffering everywhere. We will see the devastating flood of the sixteenth year of the Guangxu reign, the infighting within the imperial court, the eventual murder of the Guangxu Emperor’s father by Cixi, the activities of the underworld, and the Jindan Dao uprising.
