I think it is very similar to "Twenty Lectures on Ancient Chinese Architecture", both of which tell the history and culture of ancient Chinese architecture. The book mentions that Songtsen Gampo built the Jokhang Temple in commemoration of Princess Nibrachizun's entry into Tibet, and also built palaces around it. This behavior is really romantic!
