Book of Sui

"Book of Sui", one of the "Twenty-Four Histories". It is a biographical history book edited by Wei Zheng in the Tang Dynasty. The book has a total of eighty-five volumes, including five volumes of emperor chronicles, fifty volumes of biographies, and thirty volumes of chronicles. "Sui Shu" was compiled by many people and was written in two stages. It took a total of thirty-five years from initial creation to completion. In the fourth year of Wude in the Tang Dynasty (AD 621), Linghu Defen proposed the revision of the history of the Liang, Chen, Northern Qi, Northern Zhou, and Sui dynasties. The following year, the Tang court ordered historians to compile it, but several years later, it was still not completed. In the third year of Zhenguan (AD 629), the History of the Five Dynasties was rewritten. Wei Zheng was "in charge of the affairs" and edited the book. The authors of "Sui Shu" are all well-educated people with a high level of historical compilation.
