A Brief History of Chinese Novels

Mr. Lu Xun's "A Brief History of Chinese Novels" is a pioneering work in the history of Chinese novels and a foundational work. It was first published in the 1920s. After its publication, it has been highly praised by the academic community for its rich and detailed information and rigorous and incisive judgments. It is regarded as a classic work on the history of Chinese popular literature together with Wang Guowei's "History of Song and Yuan Opera".
