Li Shangyin was the most outstanding poet in the late Tang Dynasty. Together with Du Mu, he was known as "Little Li Du". His poems were novel in conception and beautiful in style, especially his love poems and untitled poems, which were written with touching and pathos and were widely read. His poems use many allusions, so they are obscure and confusing, which has become his unique style. There are about 600 poems in existence today, including "Collection of Poems by Li Yishan". This "Collected Poems of Li Shangyin" was annotated by Zhu Heling, a scholar of the Qing Dynasty.

Hey, I recently read "The Collected Poems of Li Shangyin" and I was really amazed by Li Shangyin's poems! His love poems and untitled poems are simply beautiful, touching and intoxicating. Moreover, his poems use many allusions. Although they are a bit obscure and confusing, this is his unique style! I especially like the characters with distinct personalities in his poems, whose experiences and emotions make me relate to them. However, I kind of hate the villains who always get in the way of the protagonists, it's such a gnashing of teeth! Overall, this collection of poems is really great and worth reading!
