A strange tale inspired by a real scientific experiment conducted overseas, the “near-death experience.” Suspense piles upon suspense, and danger lurks at every turn.
One night, handsome young police officer Luo Yicheng suddenly receives an email titled “Invitation to Die.” It tells him that he will kill himself in a month and invites him to take part in a “near-death experience” called “Alpha 7.” Not long afterward, a package arrives containing his genetic profile and a photograph of the scene of his suicide, one month in the future. A technical examination reveals no signs that the photograph has been altered…
Even more chilling, actress Shiman, who had the same experience as Luo Yicheng, kills herself on the very night she reports it to the police. The circumstances match the photograph of the suicide scene she received…
Can these people, from different places, with different identities and motives, escape the threats to their lives and flee this terrifying world?
Yingying had to face the hardships of life and her mother's serious illness at such a young age. Her strength and bravery reminded me of my relatives and friends who have experienced difficulties. As the book says, "Death was her only choice. She wanted to end her life and be freed." But life is precious, and we should all live strong like Yingying. This book makes me cherish the people around me more and also makes me believe that love and courage can overcome all difficulties.
