The historical events during Xianzong's reign start from the first month of the eighth year of Tianshun (1464) and end in August of the twenty-third year of Chenghua (1487). In the leap month of the first year of Hongzhi (1488), Liu Ji was the president of the compilation, and it was completed in August of the fourth year. Because Liu Ji was at odds with Liu Jue, a great scholar at the end of Xianzong's reign, and Yin Min, the Minister of Civil Affairs, there were many twists and turns in the story.

This book is very rich in content and gave me a more comprehensive understanding of Xianzong. I really like the part in the book that describes Xianzong's intelligence and studiousness. He is very talented and has strong learning ability. At the same time, I am also angry at the actions of those traitorous ministers, who do whatever it takes for their own selfish interests. Overall, though, this is a book well worth reading.
