Synopsis

The work tells that before the Dragon Boat Festival, Xibao, the shepherd of Yufeng Butcher Shop, went to Zhengping's house in Xiacangpo to buy pigs. He relied on the boss's power and rhetoric to lower the price of pigs, and when Zhengping was not at home, he drove back two fat pigs and slaughtered them. Niu Qi, a member of Zhengping's tribe, was a well-known figure in the surrounding area because of his wild and mischievous behavior. Niu Qi took the opportunity to encourage Zhengping and Zhengping's wife to restore the pigs alive. Then, Niu Qi ordered Mrs. Zhengping to hang herself from a beam in the other tribe's house, and then asked people to go to Mrs. Zhengping's natal house to call in thugs to cause trouble together. The tribesmen of Yufengdian used crude methods to "resuscitate" Mrs. Zhengping, and relied on force and intimidation to frighten Funiu Qi who had caused trouble, and finally made Zhengping and others retreat in shame and hatred. Zhengping and his wife were teased at Niu Qi's instigation.
