"Wu Jing Zong Yao" is a military work compiled by officials in the Northern Song Dynasty. The authors were Zeng Gongliang and Ding Du, who were civil servants during the reign of Emperor Renzong of the Song Dynasty. The two took five years to compile it on the orders of the emperor. This book is China's first large-scale official comprehensive military work and is very important for the study of military thought before the Song Dynasty. A large part of it introduces the manufacturing of weapons, and the study of ancient Chinese military history and the history of science and technology is also very important. One of the "Seven Books of Martial Arts", it is a required course in martial arts.

I think the ideas in the book are very reasonable, such as "The way to select generals is to review their talents before they can be used." This made me understand the importance of selecting talents. Moreover, I particularly like some of the historical stories in it, such as Guan Zhong's hook shooting and Meng Ming's three defeats. They are very interesting. This book is really a good book worth reading again and again!
