Twenty-Four Articles on the Art of War

"Twenty-four Chapters on the Art of War" is one of the important military works of the Shu Han Dynasty. There were originally twenty-four chapters, but the Eight Obligations, Seven Precepts, Six Fears, and Five Fears have been lost. It is said to have been written by Zhuge Liang, the famous prime minister of the Shu Han Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period, in his later years. It records Zhuge Liang's decades of experience in marching, fighting, and governing the country. During the Battle of Wuzhangyuan, Zhuge Liang taught Jiang Wei this book and the method of making "Liannu" before his death, making Jiang Wei Zhuge Liang's most powerful successor.
