Acupuncture Dacheng

"Acupuncture Dacheng" is a monograph on acupuncture, also known as "Acupuncture Encyclopedia", 10 volumes. It was written by Yang Jizhou (Ji Shi) of the Ming Dynasty and published in the 29th year of Wanli (1601). Yang compiled this book based on his family's "Hygienic Acupuncture Mysteries and Secrets" (referred to as "Mysteries and Secrets of Hygienic Acupuncture"), more than 20 acupuncture works before the Ming Dynasty, and the author's clinical acupuncture experience. Volume 1 contains diagrams of all the acupuncture points all over the body and the origin of acupuncture. The second volume contains "Acupuncture Direct Points", including 17 acupuncture expositions selected from "Nei Jing" and "Difficult Classic"; Volume 2 contains 10 acupuncture poems such as Fu on Meridian Points of the Whole Body, Fu on Hundreds of Symptoms, and Fu on Biaoyou. Volume 3 contains 20 poems and acupuncture questions and answers, including the Five Movements, Six Qi Songs, and Hundred Acupuncture Songs; Volume 4 contains a diagram of the dimensions of a person lying on his back, back Shu, abdominal acupoint songs, censorship with the middle finger, Nine Needles Theory, acupuncture tonic and diarrhea, acupuncture taboos, etc.; Volume 5 contains the combined points of the Jing Ying Shu Yuan Meridian, Ziwu Liuzhu Acupuncture, Linggui Eight Methods, etc.; Volumes 6 and 7 include the main treatments of the five internal organs, fourteen meridians, acupoint songs, textual research methods, eight extraordinary meridians, extraordinary points outside the meridians, etc.; Volume 8 contains the acupoint methods of "Shen Ying Jing" and various clinical subjects such as wind, typhoid, phlegm, asthma and cough.
