The heavens are divided into yin and yang. Yin is hidden, watching over all realms; yang brings punishment, chastising all living beings. When yin and yang work in harmony, all worlds are at peace.
One day, the Heaven Thief destroyed yin and seized control of yang, taking the heavens' place in meting out punishment. From then on, the Heavenly Dao was incomplete, yin and yang fell out of balance, and the heavens descended into chaos. One power rose as another fell, but where could the countless people of the world call home?
Zhang Xiaofan unexpectedly obtained a fragment of the hidden yin and came to see the injustice of the Heavenly Dao. He vowed to restore yin and yang, to give the world a heart and its people a purpose.
