The Mad Emperor Begs for Her Love, but the Empress Turns and Runs

[Both devoted only to each other + twists + little rivalry between women + one-on-one]

A levelheaded empress who only wants to go home × a mad emperor who is sometimes sane and sometimes in the throes of madness

Beloved by her whole family, Tang Yao is abducted by the System and sent to another world to complete missions. To get home sooner, she gives it everything she’s got!

What? I have to win over a sick, deranged emperor?!

Tang Yao: How crazy are we talking?

Chu Si: Hehehe, wifey, come share a bloodbath with me.

Tang Yao: I’m stunned with terror.

Chu Si: Hehehe, wifey, isn’t the human-skin lantern pretty?

Tang Yao: Don’t scare me. I’m not looking.

Chu Si: Wifey, help me take this sword.

Tang Yao: Looking at the sword in her chest, she says, You have no teeth!

No, she can’t keep being passive. Tang Yao has to change her strategy.

The ten principles of romance, game theory, and economic theory: she puts them all to work.

Tang Yao: Your Majesty, do you like our comic? Does the snow-fried pear blossom tea smell nice? Is the osmanthus tea rich? Does the violin sound good?

Chu Si: Hehehe, they’re all nice. You’re the best.

But Chu Si keeps going mad at the drop of a hat. He spies on her through mirrors, keeps her like a butterfly in a cage, and watches her like a bug in a dark room. He’s about to drive her crazy, and she’s starting to become just like him...

System: Congratulations, Host. Affection level: 100%. The passage home is now open.

Chu Si: Wifey, don’t leave me.

Tang Yao: Heh, spit!

Tang Yao’s parents: Back off! Back off! Back off!

Tang Yao’s three older brothers: Come over here if you dare. We’ll have you sent straight to the psychiatric hospital.

[Have you ever seen a mountain bird and a fish travel the same road?]
