How to choose between love, lust, money and real life?
Lin Shan: "I don't care about worldly opinions, I only want to please myself. Sex, material and spiritual worlds are my ideal life."
Su Yue: "I believe in love. There must be such a person waiting for me in this world. I can't live without love."
Wu Mei: "Is he rich? I think money can give me a better sense of security than feelings. I must let my adoptive father and I live a good life for the rest of our lives."
Three girls who grew up in small towns are filled with the desire for love because of the incompleteness of their original families. However, because of their own life experiences, they gain inner security through the pursuit of love, lust and money. As they grew up, although they each thought they had found true love, got married, and had children, the lack of love and insecurity in their hearts still remained...
On the road of life growth, the three people experienced their own lives and persisted in their own pursuits, each of which was different.
Su Yue has been pursuing love all her life and must live in love; Wu Mei has been pursuing money to gain a sense of security her whole life; and Lin Shan has been challenging the world and breaking taboos her whole life.
The story begins when Su Yue's mother is seriously ill, Wu Mei divorces, and the three of them reunite in Tuozhou on the month of Lin Shan's 36th birthday. Interspersed in the middle are three girls, the love, hate and sorrow of adulthood.
In the end, the three people once again faced a similar new choice in life, whether to follow their hearts or persist. Everyone is looking for their own answers.
