My Childhood Friend Doesn’t Love His Childhood Sweetheart

My childhood friend, a genius painter, fell in love with my adopted sister.

They loved each other passionately, without a care for the consequences.

I tried to give them some well-meaning advice. “My sister is innocent and kind. Young Master Huo shouldn’t drag her into the troubles of a wealthy family.”

My adopted sister thought I was mocking her, implying she wasn’t good enough for him.

Overcome with despair, she slit her wrists.

My childhood friend hated me for the rest of his life. After inheriting the family business, he framed my father for embezzlement and had him imprisoned, then got my mother committed to a psychiatric hospital.

When I opened my eyes again,

I was back on the day my childhood friend proposed to my fake heiress sister.

I smiled and applauded. “You two were made for each other. Your big sister wishes you all the best.”
