Brahmajāla sūtra (Sanskrit Brahmajāla sūtra), a Buddhist Mahayana precepts classic, the full name is "The Brahmajāla Sutra: The Tenth Precepts of the Bodhisattva's Heart and Ground". Translated by Kumarajiva in the Later Qin Dynasty, it has two volumes. The first volume describes how Sakyamuni took everyone from the fourth jhana to the world of Lotus Terrace to meet Lusena Buddha. He asked all sentient beings what causes and conditions led to the attainment of the ten bodhisattva realms, what the results were, and what Lusena Buddha said about the forty steps of Bodhisattva cultivation. The second volume tells that Sakyamuni has received teachings, appeared in birth, became a monk, became enlightened, and preached in ten places. In the palace of King Mojisura, he observed the nets and banners of the Brahma King. Because he said that the infinite worlds are like meshes, each world is different, and the same is true for Buddhist teachings.
