A Short-Video History Recap Leaves Zhu Yuanzhang Rattled

After graduating from college with no job in sight, Lin Jun wanted to help ease his parents' expenses, so he tried making videos in his spare time to earn a little pocket money. His efforts were dismal: fewer than ten people watched each day.

After a week, he'd even lost a fair bit of money on electricity.

Then a short-video System fell from the sky. By using the platform to share five thousand years of Chinese history, he could earn money and prestige.

What he didn't know was that the System connected directly to every dynasty.

After he posted his first video reviewing the history of the Ming dynasty, Emperor Taizu of Ming, Zhu Yuanzhang, completely lost it.

How could his descendants get worse with every generation?!

One seized the throne under the pretext of putting down the Jingnan Rebellion!

One was captured by the Jurchen!

One went thirty years without attending court!

Every one of them was infuriating.

Just as emperors from other dynasties were laughing at the Zhu family, the next video was posted, and nearly every founding emperor in history lost it!

The Qin dynasty: gone after just two generations.

The Han dynasty: Wang Mang usurped the throne, holding the emperor hostage to command the feudal lords.

The Three Kingdoms: Sima Zhao's ambitions were plain for all to see.

The Jin dynasty: the Rebellion of the Eight Princes.
