Do you always sacrifice yourself to please others?
Are you often filled with uneasiness and burdened by heavy burdens?
Are you accustomed to internal friction and looking for the reason for everything in yourself?
…
Many of people's low self-esteem and insecurity stem from feelings of guilt. Normal guilt is the core of conscience, but excessive guilt can make people emotionally drained and overwhelmed...
We must sort out the relationship between ourselves and others, set good boundaries, and not overly assume responsibilities that do not belong to us, nor cross the boundaries to increase the burden on others.
This book provides some tools and exercises to help us examine our emotions from a deeper psychological level, learn to let go of guilt, stop living for others, no longer be dominated by fear and anger, learn to see ourselves with a friendly eye, and regain the vitality and freedom of life!

The "guilt clearing exercises" mentioned in this book are very practical! We are often consumed by guilt, which is like a burden on our souls. This book is like a caring friend, providing concrete methods to help us relieve this burden. Reminds me of "The Courage to Be Disliked". The "philosopher" in the book tells us to learn to separate subjects and not be responsible for other people's emotions. As this book says, we need to set boundaries and stop being dominated by guilt. I really like the point of view in the book, it makes me learn to look at myself more kindly.
First of all, learn to divide responsibilities. In most cases, mistakes are not entirely caused by yourself. Over-responsibility is an abnormal and unhealthy mental state. You can try to write letters to yourself and others but do not need to send them. Guilt may be a combination of multiple emotions. Try to analyze it and turn guilt into sadness. The most important thing is that we can feel guilty or think that we need to be responsible, but we don't have to do anything. Treat guilt as an additional tax.
