[One-on-one romance, mutual devotion, several side couples, sweet and indulgent. The male lead is scheming yet devoted; the female lead is a capable top student.]
Down-on-her-luck heiress Luo Xiaoxi witnesses her boyfriend mistreating her only good friend that morning. That evening, after stepping in to help someone, she is forced to register her marriage to the person she rescued. She assumes they’ll go their separate ways once he recovers, but her husband in name only seems to take their marriage seriously. He acts sweet and pitiful, clings to her, and refuses to divorce her. In the end, Luo Xiaoxi decides to follow her heart and give in to that handsome face. She moves into the new home her husband bought, bringing along her half-brother and half-sister, and they begin living under the same roof but sleeping in separate beds. From then on, however, the carefree Luo Xiaoxi keeps running into all kinds of trouble: knife-wielding robbers, men harassing beautiful women, child kidnappers, and lost old people who can’t find their way home and come to her asking for food. Fortunately, she learned all sorts of skills while caring for her younger siblings. Aside from the one time she got caught up in the trouble herself, she manages to help others every time. What’s more, her life seems to be blessed with one stroke of luck after another: her new book sells out as soon as it goes on sale, and her comic becomes a hit the moment it starts airing. She even considers quitting her programming job to focus on her side hustles, and her husband envies her good fortune. Then one day, she sees a family portrait in a folder on her husband’s computer. She seems to recognize everyone in it...
The story is pretty good, I personally like this multi-CP plot. Each has its own love story, not conventional. There is also the feeling of family and country, and everyone firmly has what they want to protect. It's worth spending some spare time.
The story is great, and each character has his or her own charm and highlight moments. Whether they are the protagonist or the supporting characters, I really like their patriotism. This kind of pampered love is so delicious.
