The Fortune-Teller's Book of Strange Tales

My name is Chen Ziye, and I’m a fortune-teller. I’m skilled in the five arts of mountain, medicine, destiny, divination, and physiognomy, as well as all sorts of magic. Driving out evil spirits and subduing ghosts used to be part of my job. But now, I can’t even subdue an ordinary vengeful spirit, because I’ve lost all my magic.

I live in an old rental apartment in the suburbs. I used to have a home, but I can’t go back. I have a wife, but I don’t dare see her. Now I’ve lost everything. I’m like a candle, and the slightest disturbance could cost me my life!

How did I end up like this? What exactly happened? It was a shocking conspiracy, a huge trap beyond belief! On this terrifying night, I’ll tell you everything I went through, every unbelievable thing that happened.
