Some of the ideas mentioned in this book reminded me of my friends around me. For example, the book says that a Bodhisattva's precepts must be as pure and untainted as the void. This reminds me of my particularly kind and simple friend. She always views the world with kindness and is not easily angry or resentful. There is also "the Bodhisattva keeps the precepts and has no attachments." Just like another friend of mine, she never relies on the other person in love and maintains her own independence and self-esteem. Of course, there are characters in the book that I don't really like, like people who are self-righteous and opinionated. However, this book still gave me a lot of inspiration and made me think more deeply about spiritual practice and life.
