Lu Ji's "Wen Fu" and Zhong Rong's "Shi Pin" occupy an important position in the history of Chinese literary criticism. "Wen Fu" depicts the entire process of literary creation in the form of Fu; "Shipin" is my country's first monograph on poetry theory and literary criticism. The two books are combined into one volume, with detailed annotations and vernacular translation.

This book is very interesting! It puts Lu Ji's "Wen Fu" and Zhong Rong's "Shipin" together, allowing us to have a comprehensive understanding of literary creation and criticism. I especially like the description of the creative process in "Wen Fu", it feels like I have experienced it myself. Moreover, the annotations and vernacular translations in the book are also very considerate, making it easier for me to understand these ancient literary theories.
