Lu Xun, formerly known as Zhou Shuren, is the founder of modern Chinese literature. He was born in a feudal landlord family in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, and was smart and studious since childhood. While studying in Japan, he deeply understood the tragic situation of a broken country and the suffering of the people, and turned to literary creation in order to awaken the national consciousness. His main works include short story collections "Scream" and "Wandering", and essay collections "Morning Blossoms Picked Up at Dusk", etc. With his unique artistic style and profound social insight, Lu Xun's works revealed the decadence of feudal society and the suffering of the people, calling for democracy, science and freedom. Lu Xun died of tuberculosis in Shanghai in 1936. His death aroused condolences from people across the country.
This book will take you to focus on this great man of the times and invite you to walk with him through a turbulent life.
