Mahayana Consciousness-Only Theory

"Mahayana Consciousness-Only Theory" is a classic of the Consciousness-Only Buddhism, consisting of one volume. Created by Vasubandhu Bodhisattva, translated by Chen Zhenyi. Also known as "Consciousness Only Theory". Collected in Volume 31 of "Taisho Tibetan". This treatise is one of the three Chinese translations of Vasubandhu's "Twenty Treatises on Consciousness Only". The Sanskrit version still exists, and there is also a Tibetan translation. According to various sutras, the "Mahayana Theory of Consciousness Only" was originally written as "The Theory of Consciousness Only" alone, and the word "Mahayana" was added by later generations. The original text is divided into 24 parts, and its main spirit is: firstly, people are empty without self; secondly, the dharma body of causes and conditions is empty; thirdly, true return to Buddha nature is empty.
