Identity V: Escape into the Dark Night

[Original Female Character Reader-Insert: Avis Howard x Ithaqua]

There was no moon to be seen on the desolate snowy plain, but I saw a light.

I couldn't remember anything. The people around me showered me with praise as a blizzard raged outside the window.

My dance never stopped, but... it was all just a glittering facade.

Those people wanted to devour me.

I fled the ballroom, only to see a strange glimmer outside.

The snow monster had left a light on for me.

Cheers and dancing: in that moment, everything turned to ashes.

All I could see was a single light. The snow monster was waiting for me to come home.

"You are the darkest moon I've ever seen in my dreams, hanging high in a night as bright as day."
